FAT mont blanc.

I have just found an old but very fat (le grand?) mont blanc which I love but are they as good as the marketing men would let us believe?

Must write my journal again.

Now the time is getting close to the grand opening. Party for one at Room 13 25 Bridge Street !!! I must record my days in a journal hand writen wth one of my collected old fountain pens. But which one? Perhaps a different one each day! A parker 51 is my current fave but if anyone has any ideas let me know.

IT'S BEEN A LONG WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last few weeks of trouble working at the Oxford office before I leave to become a one man band.Or as my great friend Foxy says 'A one man job is a one and a half Greg job'.My new boss has had the last few days off sick so I have been a billy no mates.

Move into the office on Saturday just gone (photos to follow) helped by Richard (Fox).

SUNDAY in WINTER.

11am on an Frosty Sunday in November and no calls yet saying 'my heating/boiler/hot water is not working! Which is nice, So I am sneaking off to Waitrose to buy a paper and a tasty treat.

NO TIME WITH THE FAMILY !

Darn Saturdays so many viewings today all over the place. Started in Littlemore then to Cowley via the office to drop back some keys and chat to antie Brenda. On to Headington and back via Didcot. This is just the morning, and two viewers didn't even turn up!

Mrs E of North Oxford (Summertown)

The rescue on Lonsdale Road ! Took a call early one morning from a neighbour of Mrs E saying she was shouting for help from her window. So I rushed down to find her at her bathroom window of her ground floor flat. She was ok but said she could not get out because the door was jammed so I used the pass (emergancy key) to let me into the flat. I found that a deck chair left by the edge of the sliding door to her bathroom had fallen over stopping the door moving into the gap hence jamming the door!

Moved it! She thanked me from behind the door and I let myself out. As a lady in her 80's should not be seen in her night wear by a man. She did offer to make me a tea but she would hand it to me out of the kitchen window.Nice offer but I declined.

NEWS FROM THE DAY.

Well not the best start to the day having a landlord saying he wants the tenants out ! When I asked why he said "Because the postman saw the tenant wearing a dress." This is not normally a problem but he spied a burly man! Hairy legs below the hemline!

Again not a problem unless like this landlord you are of a certain age and have Victorian views. The plot thickened because the tenants who were meant to have moved in yesterday had not and were moving in later today (this afternoon). Whoops! Should have told him!

Anyway no keys had been released, the only visitor being the inventory clerk on Friday and he only wears a dress on weekends....

So I investagate by sending my assistant to check the property - nice 30min drive.

The report: no sign of entry and the post piled up on the mat.

So I told the landlord to check his facts with the postman and moved the new tenants in at 4ish.

We will wait to see if the man in drag turns up again or perhaps it was the lovely neighbour -without her makeup!

Time spent on problem = 2 hours. Money earned = £none

I have just signed the documents to incorparate the business ready to send to the solicitors. But I have an office already, talk about running before I can walk.
