We have been busy over the New Year with viewings and people moving in. This lovely lady sent us a kind email even though we couldn't find her the perfect property this week.
Dear Greg,
The house was a bit big, expensive and too carpeted for me. What I liked and what you can perhaps find in another house for me was that it was OK for pets and close to the centre of town and the bus route on which I will be depending.
So please keep on looking. I would prefer somewhere without carpets, at least downstairs - we had a chat about that didn't we?
I have found you to be an unusual agent until now, working all sorts of odd hours, and looking after my little dog. So perhaps you'll come up with the unusual house for me!
Unusual! We're glad to hear it!
If you know me you will know that I always have a fountain pen in at least one of my pockets and that I love pens and stationery. I have had a variety of different pens to promote the business and the latest batch is the best yet. Our kids love them and one friend thinks its so cool he has used it too much!
Hi mate
My light pen has run out! Have you got any more?
Regards Joe
I'll post a photo later but if you want one to try for yourself give me a ring on 01235 524800 and I'll send you one.
Bluedoor is the Unusual Agent. What makes us unusual? Read on and you will see.............

Christmas is coming and the feet are getting cold

This property is so good that it comes with a fully kitted out miniature house in the garden - a much better escape from the madness than the traditional shed!
Their landlords Mr and Mrs P (different 'P' honest!) will have their rent minus our very reasonable fee before Christmas too - what a bonus. We pay 'out' on the same day the tenants pay 'in' wherever possible.
Check out our fees on the Services page at www.bdea.co.uk and see the difference

Fireworks
If you've been looking at our properties on Rightmove recently you will have seen that we were cheekily advertising one of our local fireworks events. Well we sponsored a Hog Roast at the Marsh Baldon display and here are some pictures in case you missed the event itself. Shame on you if you did!

This is me not paying attention to the burning thing in my hand

And here is our little sign (thank you Mr Lake)

In other news this weekend check out our new advert in the Oxfordshire Property Weekly The print edition asks Landlords "Who is paying for the fancy offices?" Of course its both Landlords and Tenants. Those high street premises, comfy chairs and LCD displays don't come cheap and they are paid for by charging you upwards of 12% of your rent per calendar month.
Of course we can take the mickey out of mainstream agents because we know that the internet is the future of estate agency and lettings which is why we spend our money on the web and in flexible technology to enable you to contact us wherever and whenever you need us.
The majority of good tenants work in 9 to 5 jobs and don't have time to trawl around the high street during office hours; they trawl the net instead.
Last month www.bdea.co.uk had 1,239 unique visitors and 63,836 hits. That's just our own website: thousands more see our property adverts on Rightmove Property Finder and Letting Zone. We would never have that many people visit our office in person and neither does any of the traditional agents.
So why the expensive shopfronts? Ask your agent, watch him splutter then call us 01235 524800 or click on www.bdea.co.uk

We tempt tenants.

Large, good quality, external and internal photos are all part of our service. Photos encourage tenants to click on your property and when they like what they see they contact us.
Have a look at other letting agents' web advertising and see how they compare.
